Shubukai Presents: Revitalizing Tradition XVI

The “Revitalizing Tradition” Series is a performance series created  to introduce Japanese Classical Dance concepts and themes such as gender presentation and Kabuki character archetypes.  This year we welcome Fujima Kikuri from Tokyo, Japan. She will be dancing “Uchiwa Uri”/ The Fan Seller”  a Tokiwazu piece, Asian Improv aRts Midwest is excited to host the inaugural performance at our new building on the new dance stage.
